Commencing Aug 2019. Work towards an educational qualification, develop your teaching skills including high fidelity simulation and beef up your CV
Hi Everyone,
Myself and a Jen (Anaesthetic/ICM trainees currently at King’s) are hoping to set up a teaching programme aimed at Primary FRCA revision. We plan to target those topics which people tend to find most difficult; be it the physics behind MRI, infusion kinetics, or ABG analyser electrodes to name but a few.
We have designed a survey to help find out which topics are found difficult by trainees.
It'll take 2-3 mins to complete the survey. We will close it at the end of Feb.
Thank

Hammersmith is famous for its research achievements and has a large community of Imperial College London postgraduate medical students and researchers. It is home to the West London Renal and Transplant Centre, two large cancer treatment centres and a specialist cardiac service with a 24/7 primary angioplasty centre. The Clinical Imaging Centre, which opened in June 2007, is the largest in Europe. The Medical Research Council's Clinical Sciences Centre is based at the site and works in partnership with the hospital and Imperial College London.
The anaesthetic service is delivered exclusively by consultants and senior fellows as well as senior trainees under direct supervision. We strive to deliver the highest standards of care, working in close conjunction with other departments in the hospital. We embrace innovation and continually deliver care within clinical governance guidelines. The service has a robust and active teaching programme for trainees and consultants alike and is involved in research projects at local, national and international levels. We provide anaesthesia for patients undergoing the following specialist areas of surgery:
We work in subspecialist consultant groups within multidisciplinary teams to deliver these highly specialised services
