All applications are checked against the national eligibility criteria and trainees are informed by e-mail of their eligibility for transfer. The National IDT team then tries to match eligible trainees with vacant posts in accordance with the published guidelines.
Supporting documents for the February application window will be made available on 3rd January 2017. Along with these, we have also updated the ‘Trainee Guide to IDT’ and the ‘FAQ’ with some new rules that will come in to effect in the February window.
Please note that this change only applies for doctors applying to move between English regions.
Doctors wishing to move between English regions will now be eligible to apply with an ARCP Outcome 2 or 3, provided they can also submit a letter of support from their Postgraduate Dean.
Doctors who want to move into an HEE region from Scotland, Northern Ireland or Wales will still require an Outcome 1. Similarly, trainees wishing to move from an HEE region to Scotland, Northern Ireland or Wales will still require an Outcome 1.
