This course is aimed at trainees new to Intensive Care Medicine, whether their background is ACCS, Medicine, Anaesthetics or Surgery. It is designed in three sessions, which can be attended during a typical 6-month Intensive Care placement. It is hoped that this format will allow trainees to improve their knowledge and skills in parallel with their clinical experience.

Part 1 and 2 will adopt a systems-based approach and incorporate both small group tutorials/lectures and practical stations
